The primary purpose of my Blog is to help others. I have decided in my journey of managing a home and being a wife and mother that I want to become more frugal. I've always been the person who buys the store brands, buys things on sale and shops the clearance racks. I can't remember the last time I bought a new outfit at full price. However, I knew there was a way to take it to another level. A way that I could significantly increase my savings on purchases such as groceries and household items that would make a profound impact on our family budget. The Lord knew my heart, and upon logging on to www.tampabay.com one day, I found an article about a woman who only lives a few miles from me and shops for her family on a limited budget and saves 80% or more on her purchases. To make a long story short, I joined her yahoo group. I will talk more about that in further posts. Through the tips that I have learned from this group, I have been able to begin saving an average of 60% at the grocery store. This is a learning process for me, and I plan to post as I learn. This economy is in horrific condition. Those of us who are not worried about job loss or pay cuts are cutting back and others who are worried may have to save out of desperation. I say, regardless of your economic situation, everyone should try to save this way. I don't think anyone would disagree that a little more wiggle room in your budget is good for all.
The secondary purpose of this blog is about my life. The Lord has blessed me with a wonderful husband of 8 1/2 years and a three year old son. My life and my blog wouldn't be complete without including them.
